Generation of plasma by laser pulses at medium and high laser intensity and different wavelengths. Production of ion acceleration from non-equilibrium plasmas. Plasma monitoring on-line in Time of Flight (TOF) by using different detectors: Faraday Cup, Ion Energy Analyzer, Thomson Parabola Spectrometer, Mass Quadrupole Spectrometer, fast CCD Cameras, Optical Spectroscopy, Vis, UV and X-Ray detectors, SiC and Monocrystal Diamond. X-Ray Fluorescence analysis by using X-ray tube, electron and ion beams. Preparation od nanoparticles by laser ablation in medium for application in fundamental Physics and biomedicine. Preparation and modification of material by spin coating, ion sputtering, laser and ion irradiations. Characterization of nanostructured materials for the evaluation of the optical, magnetic, electrical properties useful for photonics, spintronics, biomedicine and other promising applications. Ion analytical methods RBS, ERDA, PIXE, PIGE, data treatment by using simulation codes such as TOSCA, PeakFit, Golden Ratio, SRIM, SIMNRA, Genplot, Gisa3.99, IBANDL and Casino. Ion Beam Writing Method used for the creation of structures (lithography) in polymers, glass and specific carbon-based materials (graphene oxide). The ion microprobe is also used for 2D elemental mapping in geology, biology, cultural heritage, medicine and materials science.
