Dr Plioukas’ research interests are in the areas of Chemistry of Natural Products, Aromatic and Pharmaceutical Plants, Pharmacognosy. The main focus of his research is directed on natural products with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic and agrochemical interest, with the aim to yield added value products. He is an expert in phytochemical analysis with the use of preparative techniques and analytical methods. Dr Plioukas is also interested in the fields of Ethnobotany, Ethnopharmacology and the manufacture of cosmetic preparations.
