Memory loss

Memory loss is the inability of remembering memories due to brain injury, illness or the effects of drugs or alcohol. The common causes of memory loss include medications which mainly include antidepressants, antihistamines, anti-anxiety medications, muscle relaxants, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, and pain medications given after surgery. Also excess alcohol, tobacco, drugs intake can be the cause of memory loss. Memory loss which causes more progressive damage to the brain will lead to Dementia which include Alzheimer's disease, the most common cause of dementia, vascular dementia, Frontotemporal dementia and Lewy body dementia.
