Prof. Nikola Petricevic was born on April 4th 1978. in Split, Croatia. In 2002 he graduated on School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. He won the schoolarship of Ministry of Science and Technology during his study. He was honoured by the Rector's award for his research work in 2001 (Separation and analysis of salivary lymphocytes). Since 2004. he has been working at the School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb, at the Department of Prosthodontics. He worked as an investigator on many projects, including the 2 projects approved by Croatian Science Foundation (CSF) (2004 and 2009). He is also one of researchers from Croatia on 2 bilateral projects with Slovenia (2007 and 2009). He was one of the members of the research group of the Croatian Science Foundation project: "Defining the possibility of using mini dental implants (MDI) and their results in vitro and in clinical prospective research (HRZZ-IP-2014-09-1218)" led by Prof. Asja Celebic. In 2020 he was a principal investigator of project funded by University of Zagreb.In 2009 he earned a PhD degree. In 2009. he became a specialist of Prosthodontics at the Clinical Medical Center Zagreb, Clinic for Dentistry, Department of prosthodontics. From 2015 he has been at the position of Assistant Professor, and from 2020 Associate Professor. He participated in more than 30 international conferences. He received award for the best young researcher (II Prize for Young Scientists) for lecture «Use of digital photographs in analysis of craniofacial planes’ inclination and reconstruction of occlusal plane” (Bass, Sarajevo, 2006). On second conference he was 1st Runner-up for the best Oral Presentation “The Croatian version of the Oral Health Impact Profile” (EPA, Atena, 2007). He won the ICP grant in 2008 (International College of Prosthodontists): Supported Scholarly Program – The Young Prosthodontic Educators Workshop. In 2010. He won scholarship supported by ITI (International Team of Implantology) and spend 1 year at the Department od Implantology and Periodontology in Rome at Eastmann Dental Hospital.His main activities and responsibilities are teaching and lecturing undergraduate dental students in prosthodontics and implantology, occlusion and temporomandibular disorders. He was a supervisor to students on many graduate theses, as well as at two Ph.D. theses. He has published 30 manuscripts in WoS journals, with 352 citations and H-index 11.He actively participated with oral and poster presentations at numerous national and international congresses and venues. He is currently a member of the European Prosthodontic Association (EPA), International Team of Implantology (ITI), International College of Prosthodontics (ICP).He is fluent in English and Italian.
