Delia Muntean is an Associate professor in the Department Microbiology-Virology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes” Timisoara, Romania. She completed Doctor in Medicine in Microbiology in 2008 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Victor Babes" Timisoara, done Ph.D. in General Medicine: preclinical and clinical medical disciplines from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara. Her research projects include Resistance phenotypes circulating in departments with high nosocomial risk, Study of the molecular determinants of the multiresistance of the nosocomial and community bacterial strains in South-Western Romania and Romanian-Hungarian cross-border project with a wider focus on diagnostics related to infertility, healthy pregnancy, and newborn care. Research interests include Microbiology (bacteriology, virology, parasitology), hematology, biochemistry.
