biography

Dr. Abbassi Mohamed Salah, assistant professor of Bacteriology in the Institute of Veterinary Research of Tunisia (2007-present). I am member of the scientific council of the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts (Beit El-Hikma). I did my doctorate thesis of Microbiology in the laboratories of the National Center of Bone marrow Transplantation, entitled: Genetic support of High level gentamicin resistance in Enterococcus faecium and molecular characterization of ESBL-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from neutropenic patients. I published many articles (more than 50 articles) in peer-review journals about the epidemiology and the genetic of antibiotic resistance in bacteria isolated from human, animal and environment. I have also more than 200 communications and posters in national and international congress. I taught the course of bacteriology for two years in the High Institute of Medical Technologies of Tunis (Tunisia) during the period 2004-2006, and now I am invited by many Tunisian institutes to teach the course of bacteriology for students in master degree.
