Nursing is a health sector-related profession. This profession focused on health promotion, disease prevention; curative and rehabilitative health strategies are applied. Advanced nursing practice is an umbrella term describing an advanced level of clinical nursing practice that maximizes the use of graduate educational preparation, in depth nursing knowledge and expertise in meeting the health needs of individuals, families ,groups, communities and population.
Nursing practice is involved with the goal of assisting pateints including individual, a family, a group of individuals, a community, or a population to achieve and maintain optimal health in order to maximize quality of life across the lifespan. The practice is involved with:
- Utilization of nursing knowledge through the application of their critical thinking, judgment and skill.
- Adoptoion of holistic approach towards the pateints with utmost care, addressing all the needs of pateints including biological as well as psychological
- Use of different nursing promotive and supportive practices for modification of relationships or the environment to support health.
