Clinical Oncology

Clinical oncology refers to any kind of practise or cancer treatments which could include either radiotherapy or systemic therapies like chemotherapy, hormone therapy, some possible biological agents but possibly not be surgeries. It has enhanced the lives of a lot of patients. Generally, in the treatment of cancer it involves different kind of surgeries which will be performed by surgical oncologists. The later treatments are various kinds of radiotherapy and systematic therapies which is done by clinical oncologists. Clinical oncologists maintain the co-ordinance with various teams of oncology in treatment of cancers effecting to various parts of the body. They also maintain the balance between radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Many recent advances are happening in the field of clinical oncology such as the use of highly advanced proton beam therapy. Although the clinical oncologists do not play crucial role in the disease diagnosis but they can be consulted for understanding the disease condition and the type of treatment that could be effectively implemented to the patient in a way sustaining the balance between patients and their treatment of disease condition.
