Head and Neck Cancer

Head and neck cancer are defined from different kinds related to mouth, nose, throat, larynx, pharynx, or paranasal sinus and salivary glands. The major cause of these cancers is found because of the tobacco and alcohol. The detection primarily is by difficult swallowing, throat pain, voice change and many. Identification is made that certain kind of Human Papilloma virus infections may also responsible for the development of head and neck cancers. It is diagnosed in the people who are aged and more than 50 and proper oral health maintenance can lessen the chances of head and neck cancers as this is the least found cancer found in many countries comparative to the other cancer types. After the primary symptoms are diagnosed there are certain tissue sample tests are conducted along with the X-ray and other imaging studies. Considering the treatments to these kinds of cancers depends upon the many influencing factors depending on the individual person complexity of the cancer and the region of cancer. The kinds of cancers are named as Hypopharyngeal cancer, laryngeal cancer, Lip and Oral cavity cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, oropharyngeal cancer, Metastatic squamous with neck occult primary, Paranasal Sinus and Nasal Cavity cancer, Salivary gland cancer. The treatments include Radiotherapy and chemotherapy and some types the larynx is removed which could be considered as the side effect in the case of severe laryngeal cancer.
