Ovarian Cancer

Ovaries are the reproductive parts in the women which are responsible for releasing the egg through the fallopian tubes for fertilization which further forms into foetus. Ovarian cancer is condition which is found to be developed in the ovaries and recent evidences show that the cancer might also begin at the end of fallopian tubes Based on the different kinds of ovarian cells or place of ovaries the ovarian cancer is classified. The different kinds of ovarian cancer are Epithelial Ovarian Cancer which occurs to the outer ovarian surface cells, Germ cell tumour which occurs to the cells which produces the ova, and the third type of tumour is stromal tumours which are referred to as the structural tissue cells which holds both the ovaries and produces female hormones like progesterone and estragon. After he onset of the tumour basing on the region of the tumour occurrence the severity of the tumour and curability of the tumour depends. The main reasons for the cause of ovarian tumours can be estimated because of the hormonal treatments after menopause, being overweight, age, family history of cancers. The cancer is prone to women of different ages there are certain preventive measure can be taken to eradicate the risk of ovarian cancer in the women. The women with the family history of cancers and BRCA gene mutations can avoid the risk of ovarian cancer if they get their ovaries removed. The proper use of contraception and the gynaecological surgeries are primarily available to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. Unless for the more specialised ovarian cancer the more specialized treatments are imposed or else the very general cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy are commonly used in the treatment of ovarian cancer.
