Assistant professor
Sadiq College Women University

As a Ph.D. graduate, She got trained in Molecular Biology and
Biotechnology from Cincinnati Children Hospital and Medical Center, OH, the USA
in July 2014. Her research work focused on the genetic and molecular study of Oculocutaneous
albinism in the Pakistani population.
She have
always shown a keen interest in Molecular biology and Biotechnology especially
human genetics studies, so she got experience in various techniques like molecular cloning,
transfection in mammalian cell lines, Western blot analysis, immuno-fluorescent
staining, Genome-wide linkage analysis by using the Illumina Infinium II Human
Linkage-12 panel and manuscript writing. Focusing on a complex human
disorder, she performed different functional assays like exon trapping, mini gene
construct, co-localization assay, western blotting, and linkage analysis for
the identification of new loci/gene. During my PhD research work she mapped a
novel locus OCA5 on chromosome 4. she have participated in multiple research projects
about Hearing loss and complex eye disorders in human population.
Based on the conclusions of research projects, I have published total eleven
papers.
