Pediatric Psychology

Pediatric psychology deals with the study of psychological aspects of children, i.e., psychology within the context of pediatric health. Child psychologists or pediatric psychologists deal with the psychological problems of the children which include: 

  • Developmental issues 
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
  • Autism
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Phobias 
  • Adjustment disorder

Common factors that affect the child mental health are psychosocial development and environmental factors. Symptoms mostly observed with the children include difficulties with the behavior of child playing, learning, speaking, and acts or how the child handles their emotions.
