The Universidad Santiago de Cali, or USC , is a private university, subject to inspection and surveillance through Law 1740 of 2014 and Law 30 of 1992 of the Colombian Ministry of Education. Located in southwestern Colombia, with a main headquarters in the Barrio Pampalinda, and another headquarters in the Barrio Santa Rosa in the center of the city, in Santiago de Cali. In addition to its headquarters, it has a branch in Palmira , Valle del Cauca. The university was first born as a Faculty of Law on October 16, 1958, making it the first law school in the region.The university is outstanding at the regional and national level, has received various distinctions, accreditations and awards throughout its existence. It has more than 18,000 students (2018), which are distributed in 7 faculties with more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs, 12 technologies, 28 specializations, 10 master's degrees and 1 Doctorate. The number of teachers amounts to 1,100 (2013).
