biography

Qi Song, received his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine in 2013, now is the Professor at Suzhou institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese academy of sciences. His research interest includes antenna design and EM metamaterials, SLAM navigation system, robotic control and dispatch system, computer vision and machine learning techniques, with applications to autonomous vehicles and robot.

• Metamaterials theory and applications for photonics, terahertz and microwave device, novel imaging mechanism of meta-device in optical and microwave frequency.
• CMOS compatible on-chip imaging system, time-stretching technology for spatial mapping imaging system.
• SLAM navigation system, path planning, and control theory of robotics, computer vision and machine learning with applications to autonomous vehicles and robot.
